Born 2nd April 1957 in Edinburgh, Scotland and married to Susan for 41 years with 2 children, Jenna who is 38 and single and Iain, who is 35 and married with 2 children.
Dave has lived in Aberdeen for the last 36 years but during that time has also lived and worked abroad. 3 years in Copenhagen, Denmark, 4 years in Melbourne, Australia and 2 years in Lagos, Nigeria.
Dave’s hobbies and interests include listening to music, going to the theatre, travelling, playing golf, watching rugby and cooking. He is an enthusiastic pizza maker and enjoys making his own curries. He also gets a great deal of pleasure spending time with his 2 granddaughters.
During his working life Dave has always been keen on developing and nurturing young talent and working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Dave has a proven track record in Engineering, Operations & Maintenance and Project Management at the highest level. Having spent a large part of his career with Wood Group PSN, he delivered success across both the UKCS business environment and internationally in Australia and Denmark.
He is a Chartered Engineer with a BA (Hons) in Technology with Mathematics and an HNC in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a Corporate Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control.
